The tough market conditions notwithstanding, KIIT University has achieved 89 per cent placement averaging across all courses of study.
Of 1,848 students eligible for the campus placements in six streams of KIIT University, 1,651 have bagged job offers. Many students including 57 from Schools of Engineering got two or more offers. At least 174 companies had come up with the job offers.
Schools of Engineering and School of Computer Application recorded 90 per cent placement, the highest among the constituent institutions of the varsity. More than 65 companies took part in the placement drive in these two schools. TCS emerged the top recruiter making 432 job offers. The highest salary package in Schools of Engineering was Rs16.25 lakh offered by Microsoft and average salary package was ` 3.15 lakh.
School of Management had more than 45 corporate houses visiting this time.
