Man survives arrow injury

A 35-year-old man who had got an an arrow stuck in his neck survived due to sustained efforts of the doctors of the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) here.

Sources said the man, Satri Munda, was rushed to the hospital in a life threatening condition with the arrow piercing through his neck on Tuesday night. The IGH team comprising Dr SC Mishra, Joint Director, Dr D Sahoo and Dr NP Sahoo, both Senior Deputy Directors, performed the surgery and successfully repaired the trachea and airway. Munda is now able to take liquid/semi-solid food.
