The candidates, who had applied for Supply Inspector posts conducted by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC), Bhubaneswar have requested the Secretary of the Department to publish the individual marks and model answer keys since a number of meritorious applicants are not on the selection list.
In a petition to Secretary DP Dhal, the applicants said the preliminary examination was held on January 13 and the resulted was published on March 1. However, roll numbers of quite a few eligible candidates, who had scored above the cut-off marks fixed by the Commission in respective categories, were found missing from the selection list.
While the eligible candidates are certain that there has been some error at the OSSC level leading to disqualification of so many applicants, the Commission has maintained a stoic silence over the matter.
“The whole fiasco could have been avoided had the Commission published the model answer key of the examination meant for objective type and optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets in its official website,” said an applicant.
