35 Trains Cancelled

BHUBANESWAR: The East Coast Railways (ECoR) on Friday announced cancellation of around 35 trains originating or passing through Odisha and Andhra Pradesh in view of the impending very severe cyclonic storm Hud Hud.

Some of the trains are Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Prashanti Express, Bhubaneswar-Visakhpatnam Intercity, Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur Express, Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad Visakha Express scheduled to leave their originating stations on October 12 have been cancelled.

Similar is the case with trains which are scheduled to leave from their originating stations on October 11.

The Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Express scheduled to leave Nizamuddin on October 10 and Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Express from Visakhapatnam on October 13 have also been cancelled.

Several other trains are also being diverted through alternative routes even as the Railway Zone assured all preparations for meeting the eventualities.

The Railway Zone has launched helplines to provide information on train movement during the cyclone.
