JHARSUGUDA: The turf war between Jharsuguda Congress MLA Naba Kishore Das and his BJD rival and WODC Chairman Kishore Kumar Mohanty refuses to subside with the former upping the ante against Mohanty over ‘whimsical’ functioning of the council.

After Das led Opposition MLAs from the region against irregularities in functioning of WODC and moved the Governor over the issue, the Congress PRI members now filed complaints in this regard at different police stations in the district.

Speaking to media persons here recently, Das said foundation stones are being laid and work executed by WODC without administrative approval. While uncertainty hangs over the completion of the project, he said proposals suggested by the elected PRI members after eliciting public views are overlooked.

Accusing the WODC Chairman of violating norms and guidelines, he said all the projects smacks of political motive. Das demanded resignation of Mohanty.
