Workshop on startup at NIT-Rourkela

ROURKELA: A two-day workshop on “From Idea to Investment: Unlocking GENESIS & GENESIS Investment 2.0 Opportunities” concluded at NIT-Rourkela on Tuesday.

Organised by the Foundation for Technology and Business Incubation (FTBI), the workshop aimed at educating students and aspiring entrepreneurs about the startup culture, innovation, entrepreneurship, funding opportunities and the journey from an idea to a successful startup.

Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and startup culture, including how to identify and validate an idea, understand market opportunities, develop innovative solutions, build a startup, and explore various funding and investment avenues.

A major focus of the workshop was on GENESIS and GENESIS Investment 2.0 programmes through which participants learned about eligibility criteria, application process, funding and investment opportunities, mentoring support and other mechanisms available to help early-stage innovators and startups progress from an idea to a scalable venture.

More than 200 students from several educational institutions in and around Rourkela participated.
