MADURAI: The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to PRP Exports’ owner’s son P Suresh Kumar in an alleged cheating and intimidation case. Kumar is the son of P R Palanisamy, Chairman of granite export firm P.R.P. Exports.

Originally, V Rajan of Othakadai, filed a complaint with the police alleging that one Janaki, with the aid of Suresh Kumar, impersonated as his grandmother, the original owner of the property that was to be sold in an illegal way.  Despite lodging a complaint with the police six years ago, no action was taken until Justice V Periya Karuppiah on Dec 20, 2011, ordered a re-opening of the case and a fresh probe into the complaint. Suresh Kumar was booked under IPC Sections 420, 468 and 471.
