Actress Anuradha, Chef Damu join AIADMK in CM's presence

Yesteryear actor MK Anuradha, well-known chef K Damodaran and leaders of various local bodies belonging to many parties, numbering 1,478, were among those who joined the AIADMK in the presence of party chief J Jayalalithaa.

Welcoming the newcomers to the party, the AIADMK supremo said all of them would have bright future in the party since it had been functioning for realising lofty ideals. The leaders of local bodies belonging to the Congress, BJP, DMK, PMK, DMDK, VCK and Puthiya Thamizhagam and those who won local body posts contesting as independents, including 450 women, joined the AIADMK from Chennai, Kancheepuram West, Tiruvallur North, Vellore Urban West, Villupuram North, Namakkal, Erode Town, Erode Urban, Tirupur Town, Tirupur Urban, Coimbatore Urban, Tiruchi Town, Karur, Madurai Town, Theni, Virudhunagar and Thoothukudi districts.

K Punitha, daughter of former Speaker K Kalimuthu, and Kaja Moideen, treasurer, Tamil Nadu Film Industry Workers and deputy general secretary of VCK, also joined the AIADMK .
