Courier boy electrocuted at Katpadi Junction

A 22-year-old youth was electrocuted when he tried to remove an iron wire hanging in front of a book store at Katpadi Junction on Friday.

The deceased, identified as Ansaar, son of Thasthakir of Chinna Allapuram in Vellore, worked as a cleaner-cum-courier boy in Chandra lorry parcel service. The incident occurred when Ansaar went to deliver a parcel to the book store. Viruthampet police said the youth died on the spot.
