The Palacode Judicial Magistrate on Monday ordered a habitual woman liquor seller to be ostracised for three months.
S Savithiri (50) of Ganapathi Nagar in Palacode sells TASMAC liquor in black market. She had been arrested and punished in several illegal liquor sale cases.
Based on a tip-off, a police team caught her while she was selling liquor. She was arrested under Section 52 (E) of Prohibitions Enforcement Act and produced before the court.
JM Ramachandran ordered Savithiri to be ostracised for three months. In default she would be jailed for a year, the police said.
