CBSE Class-X, XII results: Majority of schools in UT score a centum

Several CBSE schools in the Union Territory have achieved 100 per cent pass percentage in the CBSE Class-X and Class-XII examinations, the results of which were announced here on Monday.

P Balasubramanian, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya at JIPMER campus told Express that all the 112 students who had appeared in the Class-X exams and all the 54 students who appeared for class-XII exams cleared them.

K Sampathkumar, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya at Pondicherry University campus said that all the 39 students who appeared in the Class-X exams and all 14 who sat for the Class-XII exams managed to clear them successfully.

A Vinayathan, Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Periya Kalapet, said that 69 students who appeared for the Class X exams passed, while in class XII, all 41 students in the Science stream and all 35 candidates who in the Commerce stream cleared all subjects.

Meanwhile, the entire first batch of students of Acharya Bala Siksha Mandir who appeared for the class-X CBSE exams passed the exams, bringing laurels for the school. According to a release from the school, out of the 31 students who appeared for the exam, 22 of them secured A1 grade, the highest in the nine-point grading scale that the CBSE has introduced from this year. In terms of the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) it boils down to a rating of 10, which is equivalent to a score between 91-100 per cent. This includes 11 students who secured grade A1. The others were not far behind, with seven of them securing A2 grade (CGPA 9, 81-90 per cent) and two in B1 grade (CGPA 8, 71-80 per cent).

Acharya Siksha Mandir Villanur also accomplished 100 per cent results as all the 141 students who appeared for the exams cleared them. This also includes 24 students with A1 grade.

Dr J Arawindhan, the school’s chief mentor, said the impressive results are only a manifestation of the unique intelligence-oriented teaching methodology.
