Stalin’s talk a comedy, says Chief Minister

Express News Service

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa termed former Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin’s comment on the Hogenakkal water scheme as a comedy.

In her inaugural speech while commissioning the Hogenakkal Drinking Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation Scheme, she said that the AIADMK government made maximum efforts to speed up the project and provide potable water to the fluoride-hit districts.

The CM said that Stalin, who visited Krishnagiri district recently, made a false propaganda that the AIADMK government was deliberately delaying the project which was scheduled to be completed by December 2012.  Pointing out that after ascertaining the progress of the scheme, Stalin simply said that the AIADMK government was unable to execute the scheme and promised to complete the project within two months if he was allowed to do so.  She questioned how the DMK could execute it within two months.  Stalin’s two months deadline speech was nothing but a mere comedy, she opined.
