Body of PMK man found on river bed

Express News Service

A PMK party worker was found dead on the bed of the Vashista river at Kalpaganur near Attur under mysterious circumstances on Thursday morning.

Armugam, a PMK cadre and a farmhand, was out on bail after being jailed allegedly for participating in the violent protests in the aftermath of the arrest of party founder Ramdoss.

Meanwhile, his body was spotted by locals near a rock on the river bed and alerted the police. Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. As the cops could not get any clue over Arumugam’s death, they have registered a case of suspicious death. A senior police in the investigation team said no external injuries were found, but bleeding through the nose and the mouth was found. Further investigations are on to find out the true cause of his death.
