Law, Order Normal in TN, Governor Told

CHENNAI: Leaders of alliance parties of the AIADMK on Monday called on Governor K Rosaiah and submitted a representation to him stating that the law and order situation is being  maintained properly in Tamil Nadu, contrary to the allegations made by some opposition parties in the State.

Vettavalam Manikandan of Uzhavar Uzhaippalar Katchi, who was part of the delegation that met the Governor, said people of all walks had been coming forward on their own and engaging  themselves in agitations seeking the release of AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa.

The delegation also urged the Governor not to believe the allegations of the opposition parties regarding the law situation as they had been “levelling such charges out of jealousy”. 

MG Dawood Mia Khan of Indian Union Quaid e Millath League, Puratchi Bharatham party leader Poovai Jeganmoorthi, Tindivanam Ramamoorthy from Tamil Nadu Jananayaga Congress and Joseph Fernando of Christian Munnetra Kazhagam were among those present during the meeting.
