HYDERABAD: The state government had blocked around 150 obscene websites besides and was identifying and initiating efforts to block another 1,400 such websites, home minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy told the Legislative Council here on Saturday. However, he said, it is difficult for the state government alone to curb such websites and sought the Centre’s support in doing so. “Our governments is pursuing the matter with the central government.” He claimed that Telangana stood at the top in taking measures to prevent cyber crimes. The government was conducting awareness campaign against women and child abuse in 300 schools in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, he added.
