HYDERABAD: Palakurthy MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao, who had earlier announced to join the ruling party, officially joined the TRS in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Hyderabad on Thursday.

As TTDP floor leader before joining TRS, Dayakar Rao was among the opposition leaders who vociferously attacked KCR and his government. However, a few days back, Dayakar Rao shifted loyalties and announced that he would be joining the TRS. On Thursday, after being welcomed into the party by KCR, Dayakar Rao lauded the CM and his efforts to develop Telangana state. “The Budget estimates being prepared by the CM are exemplary. I now apologise for attacking him all these days. In fact, I should have joined the TRS two years ago,” Dayakar Rao said.

He further predicted that there is no future for the TDP in Telangana and even its president N Chandrababu Naidu has left all hopes of regaining the past glory to the party in Telangana.

Speaking on the occasion, KCR said the desertions of opposition  MLAs  and leaders into the TRS is nothing but reunification of political forces for the development of Telangana.

KCR assured that Warangal district, from where Dayakar Rao hails, would be developed in all sectors. Once Kaleshwaram project gets completed, Warangal will get irrigation water for two crops, KCR said.
