Telangana: Five-day infant stolen in a bag in?

HYDERABAD: A five-day infant is believed to have been stolen from a private hospital on the outskirts of Karimnagar town in Telangana of Tuesday.

A woman suspect is said to have put the baby in a bag and carried it away past the hospital’s security staff in the pre-dawn hours.

The baby boy was born to Ramya, from the village of Danapally, five days ago.

Ramya noticed her baby was missing when she awoke at 3 am Tuesday. The local police were alerted immediately. CCTV footage of the hospital showed a woman leaving the hospital with a bag carried carefully around her shoulder.

The imagery show her meeting up with a man outside the hospital and they walk away pushing a two-wheeler. A security guard asked the man why he was not driving the vehicle and the man told him the vehicle needed repair.

A case has been registered and a search has been launched.
