MAHABUBNAGAR: Senior TRS leader Laxma Reddy on Tuesday said that the soul of Late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, founder of Telugu Desam Party and AP Chief Minister, was seething with anger over his party having allied with Congress. Reddy, who was campaigning in Gopalpur, Nekkonda and Ammapally villages, said, “The sole purpose of forming TDP then was to defeat Congress. NTR would be so upset if he saw what is happening now.”

He also told the villagers to ‘drive out’ Congress and TDP leaders from their villages if they came there for campaigning. “TDP and Congress will be an obstacle to the development of the State if they come to power,” he said.

Reddy asked the people of Jadcherla constituency to vote for him saying, “During my tenure, TRS gave you CC and BT roads at Gopalpur, Nekkonda and Ammapalli.

We have fulfilled our promises and we assure you we will continue to do so in the future as well. If TRS comes to power, we will construct houses for the poor and provide them with drinking water supply as well.”
