HYDERABAD: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers at many places across Telangana over the next three days.

According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre, while no heavy rainfall warning has been issued for these days, gusty surface winds of 30–40 kmph are expected to continue at isolated locations across the state.

The IMD said the prevailing weather conditions are being influenced by the monsoon trough, which currently extends from Anupgarh through Delhi, Shahjahanpur, Basti and Chhapra towards Nagaland. An upper air cyclonic circulation persists over south interior Karnataka at an altitude of 5.8 km above mean sea level, while another upper air cyclonic circulation is present over the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Andhra Pradesh at 4.5 km above mean sea level.
