Thanks to the support of the Tamil Film Producers Council, a small film,  Paakkanum Pola Irukku, is now set for release.

Producer Dhuvar Chandrasekhar has had the film ready for a while but was unable to get the minimum number of theatres required until now.

Relieved to finally be out of the woods, the producer spoke to us about the movie, a light-hearted entertainer with “the required dose of comedy and love.

Initially, I wanted to launch 10 films together. But then, I dropped the idea because I realised I would not be able to do justice to all of them. I’m able to release this film thanks to the help of Vishal,” he says.

Dhuvar tells us that he has been assured of 100 theatres in Tamil Nadu which is the least number of theatres required for a small-budget movie to get minimum guarantee deals.

“Nothing has been compromised on the quality even though this is my first effort. We’ve put in about Rs. 3 crore. My further foray in the industry will hinge on the audience verdict for this film,” he adds. Helmed by SP Rajkumar, Paakkanum Pola Irukku has Bharathan and Ansiba playing the main leads, with Soori and Kanja Karuppu providing the comedy relief. The producer believes that a big positive is the music by Arul Dev.
