HYDERABAD: The SmartBike, a bike sharing facility at Miyapur station will be open only 10 days from Thursday, but had caught the attention of commuters who had alighted at the Miyapur station. But the bike is only accessible for those who can make digital payments. There are 22 bikes fitted with onboard computers and GPS enabled tracking, stationed at the Miyapur metro station.

The service can be rented either by installing the Smart- Bike app or by swiping the Nebula card on the bikes’ onboard computer. Registration is free for the app that can be downloaded from Google play store, but `500 needs to be loaded onto the app. The service provides passes, with bike-pass costs ranging from `1,999 for a year to `199 a week. A three month and one month pass is also available, costing `599 and `399 respectively. For those hoping to ride without a pass, bike costs will differ for registered members and one time users (pay as you go).
