On Wednesday, Salman Khan was in the city to flag off the Little Hearts Programme, a joint initiative of Fortis Foundation and Being Human aimed at providing free treatment to children with congenital heart defects.
Salman looked dapper in a grey suit and said, “We needed to partner with a reputed institution that could offer a sustained solution, preferably at a pan-India level. In Fortis, we have found such a partner. Within 10 minutes of my first meeting with Shivinder Singh, we shook hands and 50 cases have already been attended to in less than six weeks.” Shivinder Singh of Fortis Foundation reciprocated the thoughts and said, “By doing our bit for the society to address the less fortunate, we hope to take healthcare to an international standard, a blend in making healthcare glocal.”
Seen at the function were External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid with his wife Louise, sufi singer Zila Khan and film director Roshan Abbas.
