The now-famous big fat Indian wedding business has given birth to many allied businesses. One among them is bridal expositions. Entrepreneur Ramola Bachchan plunged into this business two years ago and her Runway Bridal, a two-day extravaganza, has grown over years.

To kick off the wedding expo, Ramola hosted a pre-cursor, Runway Rising, at the Dusit Devarana, where there was a ramp show that presented the best from the participating exhibitors like Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani, Anju Modi, Ashima Leena, JJ Valaya, Ritu Kumar, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

Post-show cocktails saw the city’s party-hoppers and also Ramola’s son-in-law, Kunal Kapoor, her reclusive son Bheem Bachchan, actor Neelam Kothari, and jewellery designer Farah Ali Khan among others.
