Grub-shrub and glam-sham

Jaydeep Ghosh

When Gilouti Kebabs are served, as models sashay in gowns and ghagras, does it make a buzz? When cocktails are sipped by diamond choker-adorned models, is curiosity created? The ‘glam and grub’ night initiated at the Café Public Connection for ‘Wednesday Nights’ is yet another model for using fashion to attract patrons.

We had designer Joy Mitra, accompanied by jewelry designer, Ambar Pariddi showcasing a capsule collection for the ‘Glam and Grub’ night. Joy Mitra’s ornate collection was complimented by Ambar’s ornaments, but the guests dug into platter of kebabs and sipped fruity cocktails.

Seen at this food and fashion fiesta were Delhi’s regular faces like Ramola Bachchan, Rashmi Virmani, Shefali Talwar, Shibani Kashyap, Gopika Pillai, Samant Chauhan, Pratima Pandey and a bunch of fellow designers.
