Gujarat Hooch Tragedy: Over 40 dead; 50 hospitalised

Atleast 40 people have died after consuming spurious liquor in Gujarat's Botad district, while over 50 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Bhavnagar, Botad and Ahmedabad. The hooch tragedy broke out on the morning of July 25 after people living in Rojid and surrounding villages fell ill and rushed to the government hospitals seeking remedy. According to police, forensic analysis has established that the victims consumed methyl alcohol.
