Supreme Court orders CBI probe against Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu over contract allotment

The Supreme Court on Monday directed the CBI to register a preliminary enquiry against Arunachal CM Pema Khandu. The enquiry was in relation to awarding of contracts for public works to firms allegedly owned by his family members. The Court also directed the State government to fully cooperate with the probe. Advocate Prashant Bhushan, appearing for the petitioner NGOs claimed that this was an important judgement
