The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said Israel has targeted the Hezbollah-linked financial institution Al-Qard Al-Hassan (AQAH). AQAH claims to be a charitable organization that offers microcredit and interest-free loans with over 30 outlets across Lebanon. The institution rose in prominence owing to Lebanon’s 2019 economic crisis.
