SINGAPORE: Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is back at work after undergoing a successful surgery for prostate cancer two weeks ago.

Lee today posted his Facebook photos of well-wishes and cards that he received after his surgery, along with a caption saying that he was "glad to be fully back at work".

The Prime Minister also thanked those who had sent him good wishes, saying that he was "touched by your thoughtful messages".

Lee, 63, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January, underwent robot-assisted keyhole surgery on February 16 at the Singapore General Hospital. Lee was discharged from the hospital on February 18 and was on medical leave for one week.

The diagnosis was unrelated to Lee's previous bout with cancer in 1992, when he had suffered from intermediate grade malignant lymphoma. He had received chemotherapy then and was cleared of cancer cells in April 1993.
