Trump’s ‘observers’ under scanner as FBI clears Hillary

After the agency gives Hillary a clean chit again, her Republican rival says the system is rigged.

NEW YORK: Donald Trump and his supporters promise to go down fighting if a “rigged” system puts Hillary Clinton in the White House, after the FBI gave a clean chit for Clinton in the email scandal for the second time.

When the FBI lifted the threat Sunday that Clinton could face charges over her emails, Trump and his supporters lost no time in reiterating that Clinton was being protected by a system that is rigged. Voters across the country are talking openly with the media about their concerns regarding subtle and overt voter intimidation. According to Professor Douglas Spencer, an expert in Election Law, University of Connecticut, “anything similar to delaying a voter from reaching or leaving a polling station, participating in an unauthorized poll watching or questioning voters about their choice of candidate or verbally harassing voters” constitutes intimidation.

In Philadelphia, African American voters have complained of at least one count of intimidation after Trump called on his supporters to ensure that they did not “steal votes.” For these reasons, Florida voter, homemaker Veronica James, decided to get in the early vote to avoid the stress of “being observed” by Trump supporters. “Individuals are allowed to watch people vote casually, but if you want to be an “observer” you have to register with the government well in advance and comply with rules that stipulate what you can and cannot do in your capacity as observer,” explains Professor Spencer. But speaking to sections of the population across the country indicates that this rule is not being complied with by most of Trump’s self-styled revolutionaries.

In swing states like Florida, Ohio, Colorado, Nevada the Republican were warned if they saw Trump’s posse law enforcement would make an arrest. And that is when Donald Trump stepped back.  But this, say Americans, is the tip of the iceberg. Of even greater concern say citizens, are groups like Three Percent Security Force — a militia group stating it is preparing for civil unrest in case Clinton wins. Based in the state of Georgia, the militia group consists primarily of people who are convinced that Hillary Clinton wants to take away their guns. Trump, who is endorsed by the National Rifle Association — a major American gun lobby — believes in the right to bear arms. The group fiercely and unapologetically backs Trump. In case of a fraudulent Clinton victory, the group plans to march on Washington to protect protesters and prevent the new president from taking away their guns.
