‘Swasthya Vidya Vahini’  from January

GUNTUR: Minister for Health and Medical Education Kamineni Srinivas has exhorted medical students to visit villages to provide medical care to rural people.

Speaking at an awareness programme on Swasthya Vidya Vahini programme at the Guntur Medical College auditorium on Thursday, he said PG medical students would get rich experience if they visit villages and treat the rural poor. It will also help keep diseases at bay by promoting awareness among villagers, he said.


Principal Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Poonam Malakondaiah said ‘Swasthya Vidya Vahini’ would be implemented from January. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will formally launch it soon.
