Four youths killed in  WG as bikes collide

Four persons were killed in a head-on collision at Jakkaram village in Kalla mandal of West Godavari district late on Friday night.

ELURU: Four persons were killed in a head-on collision at Jakkaram village in Kalla mandal of West Godavari district late on Friday night. According to sources, three youngsters Gopinath Kadrika (25), Rajesh Kadrika (24) and Mallesh Hetrika (24) of Padakapadu village in Raigarh district of Odisha State were going to Bhimavaram from Elurupadu village in Kalla mandal on Friday night. When they reached Jakkaram village, they collided head-on with a bullet bike.

The three youth were working in a prawn processing factory at Bhimavaram. While Gopinath and Rajesh died on the spot, Mallesh received serious injuries. Chamakura Naga Balaji (32), who was riding the bullet bike also sustained serious injuries. He hails from Turputallu in Narsapur mandal.

Mallesh and Naga Balaji succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the government hospital in Bhimavaram. Naga Balaji was working in a prawn factory at Machilipatnam. He was on en route to Machilipatnam from Turputallu, when the accident occurred.
