Civic staffer caught taking `10,000 bribe 

The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau caught a Technical Assistant II (Junior assistant cadre) working at the Ongole Municipal Corporation office red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant here on Thursday.

GUNTUR: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau caught a Technical Assistant II (Junior assistant cadre) working at the Ongole Municipal Corporation office red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant here on Thursday. According to CI ACB TVV Prathap Kumar, R Purnachandra Rao demanded Rs 10,000 from complainant M Vijayendra Venkat Srinivas Rao to regularise building constructed by S Subbayamma, mother of doctor S Vijayaraghava Rao and two others. On receipt of complaint, the ACB officials laid a trap and took him into custody. Purnachandra Rao will be produced before the ACB Judge in Nellore on Friday.
