A completely charred body of a married woman was found in the fields on the outskirts of Adduru village under Chodavaram police station limits on Sunday morning.

VISAKHAPATNAM: A completely charred body of a married woman was found in the fields on the outskirts of Adduru village under Chodavaram police station limits on Sunday morning.

According to Chodavaram circle inspector Y Murali Rao, the woman would be around 35 to 37 years and her identity is yet to be ascertained. The body was burnt beyond recognition. Police suspect that she might have been murdered and body burnt, the circle inspector said.

A case has been booked under Section 174 of IPC for death under suspicious circumstances. The body has been sent for a postmortem procedure and further investigation is on, the police said.
