‘Bharat Parv’ celebrations at ENC

VISAKHAPATNAM : The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) organised programmes for the naval officials, their families and civilians as part of ‘Bharat Parv’ celebration on Saturday. INS Kadmatt (ASW Corvette) and INS Sindhuraj (Kilo Class Submarine) were open to visitors, where a large number of public from all walks of life visited the ships. 


The visitors were taken on a guided tour of the ship and briefed about the diverse weapons and equipment fitted onboard. The visitors were explained about naval evolutions and operations by means of photo boards and projection systems.

During the day, career counselling and information on various entry schemes was provided to those who showed interest in joining the Navy. 


Apart from that, the ENC organised Health Walk on Dolphin Hill for naval personnel and cycling expedition from Samudrika Naval auditorium to Bojjannakonda. 


In the cycling expedition, over 100 naval personnel, including women and children, participated in the expedition, covering a distance of 70 km both ways. It was coordinated by INS Satavahana. On reaching Bojjannakonda, the participants undertook a clean-up drive around the area as part of Swachh Bharat initiative.  Both the events were flagged off by Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain, Chief of Staff, ENC.
