A charred body of a woman of 25 to 30 years of age was found at an isolated place near Kannurupalem village of Kasimkota mandal in the district on Sunday afternoon.

VISAKHAPATNAM: A charred body of a woman of 25 to 30 years of age was found at an isolated place near Kannurupalem village of Kasimkota mandal in the district on Sunday afternoon.
The police are yet to confirm th eidentity of the victim. According to sources, the locals found the body in the fields and informed police.

The Kasimkota police rushed to the spot with clues team, inspected the area and sent the body for a post-mortem procedure to a hospital in Anakapalle.
Police said that the body was completely burnt and beyond recognition. They suspect that some unidentified miscreants might have murdered the woman and burnt her body.
However, it is yet to be ascertained whether there was any rape angle to the case.
However, police said that a suspicious death case has been registered at Kasimkota police station. Investigation is on.
