GUNTUR: Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) will soon offer seven new paramedical courses in Andhra Pradesh. The B.Sc paramedical courses will be started at Guntur Medical College, Rangaraya Medical College, Siddhartha Medical College, Kurnool Medical College and Sri Venkateswara Medical College at the earliest.The three-year paramedical courses in neurophysiology technology, anesthesiology and operation, theatre technology, cardiac care and cardiovascular technology, perfusion technology, renal dialysis technology and optometry will be started in the government medical colleges soon.
The university constituted an expert committee team to form the modalities, regulations and course curriculum for B.Sc paramedical courses in the government medical colleges.
The courses will be run on a trial basis on the lines of B.Sc (MLT) course with an intake of 10 students for each course.
Guntur government general hosital Neurology department HoD Dr. N V Sundara Chary said the new paramedical courses will help the students shine in the medical field.
