GUNTUR: A team of officials led by Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy on Wednesday visited Iowa State University - Service Science Center in the USA.
The team also visited seed processing plant and fields of farmers, who were involved in seed development for commercial and mechanised production of maize and soybean under rainfed conditions.
The Minister, Agriculture Department Commissioner Hari Jawaharlal, Iowa State University -AP Mega Seed Park International Expert Dr. K S Varaprasad and Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) vice-chancellor Dr. V Damodara Naidu discussed about Mega Seed Park which would be established at Thangadancha village in Jupadu Bungalow mandal of Kurnool district.
Iowa State University Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship deputy secretary Dr. Mike Naig and Global Programme leader Dr. Dileep Guntuku discussed with the AP officials about seed technology, innovations and business.
