Remembering a city that has gone askew

From our online archive

BENGALURU: One of the sessions at the Bangalore Literature Fest was based on the book ‘Askew: A Short Biography of Bangalore’ by T J S George.
The panelists were Naresh Narasimhan, Prof K E Radhakrishna and V Ravichandar, with Vasanthi Hariprakash moderating the session.

The discussion was divided into three sections - remembering the city’s past glories and its appeal during the period from the sixties to the eighties. The second section was the lament — the problems and issues with the city today and the third section was the hope and the ways for the city to overcome its issues and become better in future.
