How does the virtual world shape the real one? Chandni Lepcha Panjwani decided to hunt for an answer by analysing the social profiles of two US presidential candidates. by analysing the social profiles of two US presidential candidates.

She discovered the overall page likes and engagements of Donald Trump are almost double that of Hillary Clinton’s and though there are almost equal number of updates by either candidates, Trump’s social media has been very active, interactive and effective, almost three times more than Hillary’s.
She also learnt that using emoticons in a status message increases the engagement level by 33 per cent and that has been reflected in the posts of the US presidential candidates.


Chandni came to these conclusion using Mondovo, a digital marketing platform for measuring & managing SEO, social media & analytics. Digital marketing analysts, strategist, global and local companies have been using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and social analytics platforms like Moz, Quintly and Ranksonic to check their performance online. These platforms are either SEOs or social analytics using a maximum of ten analytic tools. Sameer Panjwani found that no analytics website could fuse in the features of SEO, social analytics and Google analytics in one place. He had to switch from one website to another and pay double to keep track of the same thing.


Sameer, a self-learned technologist has been running an e-service company called Maximizer since 2006.
He and his team of 24 people worked on incorporating 17 tools in one comprehensive website.
Maximizer launched Mondovo on September 12. The tools were all built in-house and the project took two-and-a-half years to complete.


“The great feedback we have been getting from our users have validated our efforts,” Sameer said.
Bala Ayya, a digital marketing strategist, used Mondovo to come to a comprehensive analysis on two ecommerce giants. Using the available tools, he discovered that the social media pages of both had almost same number of likes, but one page had more traffic than another.


Using Mondovo, he tracked than although one retail company had more engagements than the other, most it was complaints that dominated the comment section. The seventeen tools in Mondovo include 11 SEO tools such as Rank Tracker that checks your ranking performance in 143 countries, a tool that compares your ranking with ten competitors and shows you the why and how of your competitor’s performance by showing keywords and giving an option of trying different permutations and combinations.


Facebook and Twitter are two social tools merged as of now. Mondovo has 3000 beta users and 20 paid users.
A similar attempt was made earlier by the same company back in 2014. “We made a lot of errors especially in terms of pricing. We realised the customers don’t want to pay more than what it is required. Learning from our mistake, we shut the monthly pricing subscription that is in all other websites and came up with ‘pay as you go’ model. Most of our users are from the US and we have tools starting from 3 cents, where a single web page can be analyzed,” Sameer says.
Varun Celly, the co-founder of Geeks of Digital said that Mondovo helps him save a lot of time since all he has to do is “download data, tinker around a bit and everything is ready.”


“When I first opened the website I thought it was pretty amazing but as I went through the menu, I realised that it is not for big level companies. The report is comprehensive but it caters only to the management level,” said Sivarama Krishna, a Google partner certification holder and a Pay Per Click (PPC) expert.
