BENGALURU: Exchange of flowers between families of martyrs and former militants was the highlight of the event on Friday. These bundles of chrysanthemum had reached Bengaluru all the way from the valley of flowers, Kashmir. “We brought this as a symbol of peace. These are more than just flowers for us. It’s a bundle of emotions,” said Mohammed Malik, a flower vendor from Kashmir’s Gulmarg Agro Cooperative  Society who picked these flowers to be brought to Bengaluru. “We brought this to symbolically show symbolically that Kashmiris don’t just pelt stones. We also get flowers and express love,” he said. “Ab pathar bhejna bandh, phool bhejna hai,” (It’s time to stop pelting stones. We must send flowers).”
