BENGALURU: I am 24-year-old female. Why do I always feel sleepy?  I checked my BP and it was normal.  But I still feel extremely sleepy, please help.
Please see if you are snoring. If you are snoring, you may have something called sleep apnea. It’s a condition where the upper airway is obstructed and doesn’t allow the easy passage of air through it.  If you have trouble falling asleep this also may be a cause of daytime sleepiness. Please get yourself reviewed by a sleep specialist.

I am 25 years old and I cannot sleep at night.  I fall asleep around 5 am or 6 am. This was my sleep pattern for years but in a week from now, I will be joining 9 to 5 job so I need to get my sleeping pattern and timing right. What should I do?
You have a disrupted sleep pattern. You need to slowly move your bedtime by 1-2 hours a day till you reach the desired bedtime. Exposing yourself to a bright light when you wake up also will help with resetting your biological clock. Please consult a sleep specialist if you are still having problems.
