My wife has a chronic gas problem. Her stomach bloats frequently. She is taking Liv.52 (100) for last 20-25 days. As per Liv.52 (100), she is taking two tabs twice a day initially. For last 3-4 days, her belly is bloated. She thinks, its because of Liv.52 (100). First and foremost diet and lifestyle plays a major role in bowel diseases. Consuming too much of caffeine causes gastritis in many. Also, consumption of caffeine alters sleep patterns too. She needs an Ultrasound scan to rule out any gall bladder stones related issues, an Endoscopy to rule out any GERD or Gastric Ulcers and Hydrogen breath test for SIBO. Also, one needs to rule out functional dyspepsia. Based on these reports we can decide on further management.
For the last four years, I’m facing a lot of stomach pain. I often experienced full liquid and mucous type loose motion, so I used to take Ciflox OZ or Norflox OZ on my own, and the problem would get cured for a short period (two to three months). This continued for a year. In the second year, I got stomach burning and acid reflux. On the advice of the doctor I started having Rabiprazole -D for 1 - 2 months, which helped. But after two-three years I got a new problem of extreme burping- nearly 10-20 after every meals. There is also bloating after the meal. On advice of doctors I had Zenflox -oz, which helped for bloating. But when I stop taking it, the problem re-occurs.

Also identifying particular food which leads to stomach upsets is very much essential. Sea food is the commonest cause of stomach upsets. It’s advisable to get a routine check up with your doctors, identify the problem and then treat it, instead of self medicating.
