Microsoft signs pact with BVRIT

HYDERABAD: Microsoft India Pvt., Ltd., on Friday, said it signed a pact with B V Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT) to collaborate and train students as per the IT industry’s requirements.

HYDERABAD: Microsoft India Pvt., Ltd., on Friday, said it signed a pact with B V Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT) to collaborate and train students as per the IT industry’s requirements.

For Microsoft this is a second such partnership as part of its ‘Microsoft Innovation Alliance’ programme. It earlier tied up with Jaipur Engineering College and Research Centre in Rajasthan.

“This initiative provides an opportunity to bridge the gap between industry needs and student’s readiness thereby creating better employable opportunities, indus t ry adopt ion and strengthening competencies among students,” said Phani Kondepudi, Lead LSE, Academic Access & Alliance, Microsoft India.

Microsoft said, it has identified some more engineering institutions across the country including centres in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.

As part of its programme, through this partnership, the company would provide access to a comprehensive set of Microsoft’s resources and facilities to students and faculty. Currently, over 60 students are undergoing the training programme.
