TATA Capital forays into leasing market

Diversified financial services company Tata Capital Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Sons, on Monday announced its foray into the leasing market through a tie-up with Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed Century Tokyo Leasing Corporation.

As part of the agreement, Tata Capital Financial Services Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Capital, will offer leasing services through a separate division Tata Capital Leasing Solutions. Tata Capital Leasing Solutions plans to offer a complete suite of services across industries and for ll equipment used in plant and machinery, banking and construction sectors, corporate aircraft etc. With the potential of the equipment leasing market pegged at `20,000 crore, the market for leasing services is expected to grow at a CAGR of 25-30 per cent over the next few years.
