TVS Launches Scooty Zest

CHENNAI: TVS Motors is eyeing to capture 18 per cent of the scootter market, said its chairman Venu Srinivasan here on Wednesday. He was speaking at the launch of its latest offering in the non-geared sector, TVS Scooty Zest 110 that is targeting the young, independent women. At present, the company holds about 15 per cent of the market, which it is aiming to boost after the launch of the latest offering. “We are hoping to sell 10,000 Scooty Zest units in the first month itself, and have the same number of units readily available at showrooms for the launch month to meet the consumers’ expectations,” Srinivasan added. The Zest 110 is priced at Rs 42,300 (ex-showroom Delhi) with an engine displacement of 109.7 cc, boot space capacity of 19 litres. The company claims that it will return a mileage of 62 km per litre.
