MUMBAI: A benchmark index of the Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip BSE Sensitive Index (Sensex), provisionally closed Tuesday's trade 328.37 points or 1.28 percent up.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) provisionally closed up 107.60 points or 1.37 percent at 7,962.65 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 25,604.92 points, provisionally closed at 26,007.30 points, 328.37 points or 1.28 percent higher from the previous day's close at 25,678.93 points.
