MUMBAI: Tata Power today said its strategic engineering division (Tata Power SED) has bagged a contract from the Ministry of Home Affairs to supply comprehensive integrated border management system (CIBMS) to Border Security Force (BSF).

This order is an initial phase of the larger border management project of the ministry to enable round the clock surveillance of Indian borders and to ensure every inch of area of interest is kept under vigil by the forces, the company said in a statement issued here.

CIBMS being fielded by Tata Power SED is an indigenously designed and developed system and will also allow BSF to have in-country lifecycle support and upgrades. The company will be in position to extend the system to all types of terrain as and when required by BSF on short timelines, it said.

"We are committed to create an indigenous solution meeting BSF's contextual and operational requirements for Indian integrated border management system," Tata Power SED CEO Rahul Chaudhry said.

He further said the company is already exporting its optronics products with capabilities such as data analytics, image fusion, remote monitoring and surveillance and verifying threat identity, which will help in deploying a reliable solution for BSF.
