NEW DELHI: Companies across industries are slowly moving to adopt disruptive digital technologies for their day-to-day functions. They also recognise that this opportunity can create new products that will transform and reshape organisations of the future.

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) is planning to push the power of disruptive technologies and the role Indian IT firms can play.

“There is a need for these global organisations to witness and understand the value Indian IT can bring as strategic growth partners, helping them derive distinct value in this increasingly competitive business ecosystem,” Nasscom said in a statement on Monday.

The IT industry body will be hosting the first edition of ‘The NASSCOM C Summit’ on 1-2 June, 2017, at the InterContinental Times Square, New York.

“The C Summit will serve as a great opportunity for Indian IT to position their capabilities as strategic growth partners and tech solution providers that can help drive change for global clients,” R Chandrashekhar, President, NASSCOM, said.

The summit will provide common ground for companies and solution provides from across the world to come together and collaborate.

“The idea (of the Summit) is to deliberate on the digital future, showcase capabilities and collaborative models and brainstorm on the digital enablers,” a statement on the Nasscom website read.

Jim Carroll, Global Futurist, NASA; Frank Gens, SVP & Chief Analyst, IDC; James Manyika, Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company; and Edward Marx, Interim SR VP, NYC Health & Hospitals Corporation, among others, will speak on how digital technologies are expanding across ecosystems, making it imperative for all enterprises to transform, scale and innovate accordingly, Nasscom said.
