Key Indian equity indices trade higher in afternoon session, Sensex up by 115.31 points

MUMBAI: After opening on a flat note, the key Indian equity indices were trading in green on Wednesday afternoon. The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 115.31 points or 0.33 per cent higher during the afternoon session.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 24.40 points or 0.23 per cent higher at 10,724.30 points.

The Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange BSE, which opened at 35,385.52 points, was trading at 35,493.91 points (at 1.21 p.m.), higher by 115.31 points or 0.33 per cent from the previous day's close at 35,378.60 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 35,494.01 points and a low of 35,309.67 in trade so far.

"Indian equity markets are trading flat following impact from global cues relating to an ongoing trade war and oil prices amid lack of domestic developments," said Dhruv Desai, Tradebulls' Director and Chief Operating Officer.
