NEW DELHI: The Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) this week launched the first IOB Plus branch in New Delhi, with the new series of branches to have a specific focus on customer services and digital banking.

“IOB identified Parliament Street Branch, New Delhi, on pilot basis for the IOB Plus branch and placed it as a model branch under their pan-India network of branches. The remodelled branch was inaugurated by R Subramaniakumar, MD & CEO, on June 15, 2018,” the bank said in a statement.

According to officials, the branch is provided with E-lobby facilities like passbook-printing kiosks, CDMs, ATM corridors and hydraulic lifts for elders.

“There is also a specialised cell for MUDRA as per guidelines from the Department of Financial Services. Similar IOB Plus branches will be opened in each region and state in future. These branches will be technology-driven and all the amenities will be provided to improve customer satisfaction on a large scale,” the bank said.
